this spring break I brought my best friend to ft. lauderdale. we mostly ate food, hung out with my sisters, took romantic strolls on the beach. frat laudy did us some good.

over break, we visited the barn we grew up around. it had been a while. it's pretty desolate and quiet nowadays, but the owner's husband expanded his vintage/military vehicle collection. the place seemed just as ethereal as it did in childhood.

fall semester 2013
I know it's been a while since I've posted anything new. these are some pictures from the end of the fall semester, some from thanksgiving break. I've gotten comfortable with being more "intimate" with photography. I credit this mainly to self-timer and my lack of resources lol

abandonded miami marine stadium
my friend and I went to the infamous abandoned miami marine stadium this past week. we had to sneak past construction workers (it's going through a "revival" [???]) and finessed our way onto the property unnoticed. there was insane artwork everywhere. literally covering every surface. the stadium's been abandoned for a little over a decade and was pretty dilapidated/creepy both in appearance and smell. but at the same time it was gorgeous, serene, dangling over the ocean.
just as we were about to leave, a police officer caught us and dragged us to his squad car. he told us that we were trespassing, that it was a felony, and that he was supposed to arrest us. he was just trying to prove a point and ended up being genuinely sweet. I swear we could have stayed twice as long and still wouldn't have admired half the graffiti.
