so this summer I decided to extend my stay in paris to conduct research sponsored by the columbia european institute. I'm studying the transnational identities of native american men who have been recruited by disneyland paris to work as "bareback riders" in their buffalo bill's wild west show. so far I've met really cool guys & am getting to understand how they adapt to their new environments, sometimes permanently.
aside from that, I'm living in a studio near montmartre paris. this is the first time I've ever lived alone like this (sans roommate/host parent) & I absolutely love it. I have so much freedom to do my work & make things I've always wanted to. during my time in paris I've started writing & recording little tunes under the moniker
ultra doux & I'm taking so many more photos of nothing. since moving from the 5th to the 9th arrondissement, I've gotten to explore so much more of paris than I ever could during the semester. leaving rue de rochechouart is going to be really hard.
